Kate Bowen

Exhibitions Director, ACRE and Video Programming Coordinator, Museum of Contemporary Photography

Kate Bowen is an artist, curator, and teacher living and working in Chicago. She is the Video Programming Coordinator at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Exhibitions Director for ACRE and studio manager to the artist Barbara Kasten. Her video and photo based practice focuses on technology, phenomenology, and mythology explored through the landscape of the American West. She received her MFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago in 2011.

Bowen is interested in all kinds of work, but I feel most excited about seeing works from artists engaging the medium in diverse ways or artist working in video or within a new media framework.
