I often use analog recording materials such as cassettes (magnetic tape), vinyl albums, photographic film and such as the subject/object in my multiple exposure photograms. It is fun to think of these objects that can be used to capture and save elements of our sensorial lived experience now "recording" themselves via the photogram-- at least in their physical form. Patterns and colors blending in the process may reveal more about the object itself or create a different visual space to entice the viewer's consideration of multiplicity or other fun aspects within abstraction.
